The Clonakilty Brewing Company
The Clonakilty Brewing Company comprises of local artisan producers who are passionate about making beer with no compromises. From small batches with a big personality to big batches for the largest of celebrations, all their beers are handcrafted with care in their Brewhouse in Clonakilty.
The brewery itself was launched in August 2016 in what was once called ‘The Brewery Town’. The Clonakilty Brewing Company has three core beers; Tojo American Pale Ale, Smuggler Irish Porter and their newly launched Inchydoney Blond. Come for a taster in the new Tasting Room during your West Cork Hotel Break and learn how the beer is made under the guidance of head brewer ‘Thirsty Frank’ and find out what inspired them.
The people at the Dublin Craft Beers Cup Award Winning Brewing are an innovative bunch making one-off special brews, personalised beers for weddings or special occasions as well as doing interesting things with good local food.
How To Get There:
The Clonakilty Brewing Company is only a short 6 minute drive from our hotel in Clonakilty. With the one way system in Clonakilty, it will involve in you needing to loop around to make your way to the Brewing Company. To begin, exit the hotel and turn left on Wolfe Tone Street before turning left again after a short distance towards Long Quay before turning left once again joining Long Quay. Continue straight before turning left to join the N71. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit to return to N71 and continue on this route for 2km. At this point, exit N71 and turn left onto Bóthar Na Páirce. Continue on this route to your destination.
