Michael Collins Centre
Steeped in history, The Michael Collins Centre is only a short drive away from The Clonakilty Hotel and one of the
best things to do in West Cork not to be missed. The Michael Collins Centre was founded by the Crowley Family, whos father Tim is a cousin of Michael Collins on his great grand-mothers side, giving reason for his devotion to the Centre.
At the Centre, sit back and be in awe at the comprehensive presentation interpreting the life and time of Michael Collins, brought to you by Tim himself. Inside the Centre itself you can find audio-visuals, Michael Collins memorabilia, militaria, photographs and more giving an in-depth account of the ‘Big Fella’s’ life. Stick around inside for the most unique part of this experience being the live lecture encapsulating all that attend.
Step outside the centre overlooking the Argideen Valley and be met by a number of life sized replicas of the vehicles in Michael Collins’ Convoy, Crossley Tender, Leyland Touring Car and Rolls Royce Armoured Car.
For an unforgettable experience dripping with history, be sure to pay a visit to the Michael Collins Centre during your stay at one of the best hotels in West Cork.
