West Cork Model Railway Village is a leading West Cork tourist attraction overlooking Clonakilty Bay. Open 7 days a week from 11:00am to 5:00pm throughout the year with extended hours for the summer months, this is a joyful discovery for young and old alike.
How To Get There:
The West Cork Railway Village is only a short 4 minute drive from our hotel in Clonakilty. With the one way system in Clonakilty, it will involve in you needing to loop around to make your way to the West Cork Model Railway Village. To begin, exit the hotel and turn left on Wolfe Tone Street before turning left again after a short distance towards Long Quay before turning left once again joining Long Quay. Continue straight before turning left to join the N71. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit to return to N71 and continue on this route for 500 meters before taking a slight left for Inchydoney Road. The West Cork Railway Village will be on your left.
Don’t have a car? That’s no problem. The West Cork Railway village is only a short walk from our hotel in Clonakilty. Turn left on leaving The Clonakilty Hotel joining Wolfe Tone Street before turning left onto Clarke Street. Continue walking straight down Clarke Street before joining onto the N71. At this point, turn right onto N71 for a short distance before exiting N71 for Inchydoney Road. The West Cork Railway Village will be down here after a few hundred meters on your left.
